Yasir Qadhi was born in Houston, Texas and completed his primary and secondary education in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He graduated with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Houston, after which he was accepted as a student at the Islamic University of Madinah. After completing a diploma in Arabic, he graduated with a B.A. from the College of Hadith and Islamic Sciences. Thereafter, he completed a M.A. in Islamic Theology from the College of Dawah.

His published works include Riya\'a: The Hidden Shirk, Du\'aa: The Weapon of the Believer, and An Introduction to the Sciences of the Qur\'an.

Shaikh Suhaib Hasan: Is based in Masjid Tawhid, 80 High Road, Leyton, London, E15 2BP

The current series of tafseer lessons started from Surah al-Fatiha in the early 1990's and is currently on Surah Qaf in its fifteenth year. * Born in 1942 in Delhi in a scholarly family, Shaikh Suhaib Hasan studied the Qur'an, Hadith, Arabic, Tafsir and other Islamic sciences with his father, Shaikh Abdul Ghaffar Hasan, and other teachers. He has a chain that goes back to the Prophet (saw) through Imam Bukhari. He graduated from Punjab University and the Islamic University of al-Madinah al-Munawwarah in the 1960s, being amongst its earliest batches of students. His teachers there included Shaikh Muhammad al-Amin al-Shanqiti, Shaikh ibn Baz and Sheikh al-Albani. He spent nine years in Kenya, before moving to the UK in 1976 and has spent almost three decades in da'wah work. He helped found Al-Tawhid Mosque, Al-Quran Society and the Islamic Sharia Council in London, all of which he currently heads. He has also served as the Chairman of Muslim Aid for two years. Shaikh Suhaib completed his PhD in Islamic Studies from the University of Birmingham in the 1990s and has published a number of works and translations in English, Urdu and Arabic.

Rizwan Hussain is a presenter on the popular children’s programme ‘National Qir’at Competition.

An experienced and dynamic presenter with UK’s first English language Muslim Channel, he started his media career some 12 years ago with the likes of BBC, Channel 4, and more recently as an entertainment presenter on ATN Global. His move to Islam Channel came in August of 2005 after being approached by channel insiders to write new programme concepts for the channel. Currently he plays an active role in the channel as Presenter, Producer and Documentary / short films director.

In the last two years he has become a nationally and internationally renowned and recognised as a presenter with a large following. Rizwan Hussain actively campaigned to raise funds for the Earthquake in Pakistan and other noble causes such as Interpal a children’s charity for the children of Palestine, Muslim Aid, Muslim Hands, Helping Hands, Islamic Relief and many more Muslim charity organisations.

By profession and practice, Rizwan Hussain is a Lecturer of Law who has also worked in a professional capacity as a Human Rights Lawyer for the Home Office. His career so far includes working as a Lecturer of Laws, Police Officer, Journalist, Actor and Singer.

His subject specialism is Law and Education and he has actively served as an elected governor of schools in Leicestershire since the age of 18. His current subject of interest is based on his active study of Tafseer and developmental focus of children through Islamic education.
