Messages Of Support

Sheikh Abdullah Hakim Quick Phd

AlHamdulillah, the effort made by the producers and staff of Islam Channel in producing the Hayaat Show needs to be highly commended. May Almighty Allah bless you and increase our Ummah with your examples. What I like about the show is that it is dealing with the new reality of life in the Western world from an Islamic perspective.

It gives young sisters a chance to express themselves and doing this it empowers the future Ummah. Women have been ignored in much of our Islamic programming and not given their fare chance to speak about today's challenges and their responses. The section on inspirational aspects of the Quran and Hadith is innovative and will touch the hearts of many of the viewers, Inshallah. I pray that this program continues and expands it s scope. May Allah bless all those involved and reward them in this life and the Hereafter.

Dr. Jamal Badawi

I have been honoured to participate in the "Insight" segment of the hayaat show. I found the organizer and the interviewer to be knowledgeable, interested and committed Muslims. The openness, engaging and interactive approach of your program is refreshing and illuminating. May protect and bless you all.

Sheikh Muhammad Alshareef – Founder of Al-Magrib I

"Congratulations on the debut of Hayaat! I've seen first hand the attention to detail and dedication that has gone into the recording of this show. I pray that it serves as a beacon of light for the community, especially our young Muslim sisters."

Sheikh Idris Tawfiq

Any community that invests in its young people has a future. For the Muslim community, our young people will be the ones who take Islam forward into the coming years. For too long our communities have neglected this important work

In particular, the special place of young Muslim women has been neglected. Islam sees that women are equal to men in the sight of Allah, but in many places in the world Muslim women are denied access to education and to possibilities of training and leadership. I commend Islam Channel for this great initiative in giving us Hayaat, a programme specifically aimed at our young Muslim sisters, and I encourage all Muslims to support it.

It is my firm belief that this is the century of Islam in the West. It is from the Western world that Muslims will be able to teach the rest of mankind about the sweet and gentle message of Islam. Inshallah, your programme will encourage our Muslim sisters to be at the forefront in this work."

Hajj Ahmad Thomson

Allah brings new life to a dead land by His command: Kun Fayakun! May Hayaat always be between the kaf and nun of Allah's Kun Fayakun! As my teacher said, "Do not let yourself be defined by a society in collapse -- define the new society." And, "The indication that your ibada is accepted is that you enjoy it." May Hayaat be a joy for those who participate in the programme -- and a joy for those who view it.

Baba Ali – Ummah Films

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr: Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) neither talked in an insulting manner nor did he ever speak evil intentionally. He used to say, "The most beloved to me amongst you is the one who has the best character and manners."
(Al-Bukhari)

Just giving a copy of Quran or a pamphlet of Islam is just not enough sometimes. People are inspired by actions and the My Inspiration segment can make a lasting impression on someone who is looking into Islam.

Ruqaiyyah Waris Maqsood

Many congratulations on the launching of Hayaat - a much needed programme to support young sisters in today's difficult and confusing world. I am delighted to be associated with it. Let us always remember it is Allah's world, and approach it with love and determination to tend it with care. May Allah's blessing be on all that you strive to achieve, and bring the venture to success.

The Rt Rev James Jones, the Bishop of Liverpool

"I was so pleased to feature on Islam Channel's new programme 'Hayaat' which is aimed at young muslim women because it informs, educates and entertains them about how as young people of faith they can reach out in friendship to other communities"

Dawud Wharnsby, Writer and musician

"It has been such an honour for Idris Phillips and myself to be involved with "Hayaat" and we really look forward to its launch this fall on Islam Channel. Any opportunity for youth to utilize media as a platform for discussions surrounding social change, spirituality, diversity and growth is an opportunity that should not be missed”.

Michael Holland, Head of Education, Chelsea Physic

On behalf of Chelsea Physic Garden, it has been my pleasure to have contributed to the Hayaat programme - in both the filming at our lovely garden as well as meeting the presenter and production team here. I wish the Islamchannel every success with this exciting sounding new venture, which I’m, sure, will reach a wide audience. Good Luck!

Adam Williamson & Lateefa Spiker

The Hayaat show seems very positive; we wish you all the best with the screening.

St Ethelburga's

"St Ethelburga's was happy to host the filming of these discussions and wishes Islam Channel well for the show".

Marika Sherwood

There are many interpretations of the words of the Prophet as there are equally many interpretations of the Bible. But Islam is increasingly misrepresented in the British media, with a focus on the radicals/conservatives. The media also focuses on the most conservative interpretations of the position and roles of women in Muslim society. It is very important to give Muslim women their own voice, to provide an arena for them to come together to share their experiences, their traditions, to find ways of determining and achieving their aims, and to celebrate their cultures. Hayaat will provide this.
