Job Description:

·          Promote The Dawah Project and raise awareness about our ongoing campaigns/events

·          Fundraise via our call centre and events

·          Events: Organizing and Attending events on a regular basis

·          Admin Duties

Requirements:

·          To have some experience in customer relations/call centre or a similar role

·          To have some experience in fundraising/charity work

·          To be able to meet targets

·          To have a reasonable understanding of the importance of Dawah

·          To be able to have flexibility in working hours ( Events may need to be attended on the weekend, evenings and holidays)

·          A Driving License is not essential but beneficial

Job purpose

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in Islam Channel for an ambitious and highly creative Graphic Designer. The role requires a qualification in Graphic Design and 3 years industry experience. You will be capable of taking a project from brief to completion delivering consistent and effective designs across a variety of media, both offline and online. Strong layout and design skills are a must, with great attention to detail, accuracy, creativity, self-motivation and the ability to work to strict deadlines.

·          To run the necessary creative and communications projects; working on print and online mediums and publications.

·          Be a 'design expert’ who can oversee production from concept to delivery, coordinating respective projects within time constraints.

Principal Responsibilities

Islam Channel is looking for a creative and dynamic Video editor with Motion Graphics knowledge.

Min. 3 years of experience needed.

Applicant must have the right to work in the U.K

The ideal candidate would have worked in the Post Production video and
motion graphics industry and have experience to creatively merge footage,
images and sound.

Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude and be a team player.

The ability to produce imaginative and inspirational results in a limited
time is a must, and the ability to be able to work to tight deadlines.

Main tasks include:
Edit Programs, Create promos, Adverts and Motion graphics pieces. Actively
support, research, and troubleshoot problem areas within Post-Production.
Vivid imagination, excellent communication skills and the ability to
multitask is a must.

Requirements
Final Cut Pro, Motion, DVD Studio Pro,  Color and Compressor
(Knowing  Adobe premiere, Adobe audition, Adobe after effects and Adobe encore will be an added advantage)

Good Knowledge of Compression for DVD, Video / audio downloads and web streaming.

The Islam Channel and IFEES are working with a small group of volunteers to complete a series on environmental issues for Muslim teenagers, called How Green Is Your Deen?

 Two of the five programmes are complete, already:

Finished:

• Animal Welfare
• Recycling

Not finished yet:

• Climate Change
• Water
• Eco-living

We need:

·         An assistant producer

·         Presenters (training will be given),

·         Researchers to find sponsors

·         Picture researchers

·         Fund-raisers to approach potential sponsors

·         A panel of young Muslims to guide the content of the scripts and style of presentation

·         Muslim teenagers to answer quiz questions on film

All these will be voluntary jobs, but they will provide good experience in making TV programmes for global Muslim audiences.

Islam Channel is looking for a long term trainee receptionist to work at their Head-Quarters in Central London on a voluntary basis.

Duties will include:

·         Managing the switchboard

·         Meeting and greeting guests.

·         Post

·         Assisting with mail merges

·         General admin duties

·         Providing teas and coffee’s

This is a flexible position and therefore if required job sharing will be accepted. Previous experience is not required although candidates will need to have a flexible attitude and a willingness to learn.
