Mullah Yacoub is a Taliban fighter who lost his leg during the conflict with former Afghan government soldiers. 

Meanwhile, Khair Mohammad is a former sergeant in the Afghan army who also lost a leg during the conflict. 

Both have been given a new chance by the Red Cross-run rehabilitation centre in Kabul.
