The Report - Turkey's Erdogan calls for Khashoggi suspects to stand trial in Istanbul

Turkey’s President Recep Tyyip Erdogan said in a key speech this week that all those behind the murder of a Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi should be brought to justice. Erdogan also called for all suspects in the case to stand trial in Istanbul.

He used the speech to claim that the killing was planned by Saudi officials days in advance.

He went on to criticise Riyadh’s contradictory reports following Khashoggi’s disappearance, saying Ankara would not stop its investigation until all the major questions raised by the case are answered.
