The Report: Is the media failing victims of the New Zealand attack?


In the wake of the New Zealand’s terrorist attack in which 50 Muslim worshipers were brutally killed media corporations such as BBC and some other UK broadcasters were criticised for avoiding to refer to the attack as a terrorist attack. Media outlets in France also faced the backlash for not referring it as such despite the New Zealand’s clearly stating that it is a terrorist attack. In today’s programme we will look into the role of media when it comes to the New Zealand’s attack and other Islamophobia attacks around the world.
