7/4/2022 10:06 AM

Islam Channel has the pleasure of announcing that the crescent moon has been sighted today and that the 1st day of Dhul Hijjah 1443AH will be 30th June 2022.

It means Eid al-Adha is confirmed for Saturday 9th July, with the Day of Arafah falling the day earlier, on Friday 8th July.

Dhul Hijjah is the final month in the Islamic calendar and several hadiths detail the importance of the first ten days of the month. The Prophet PBUH said: " There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days" (Bukhari)
