6/21/2023 12:03 AM

The crescent for the month of Dhul Hijjah 1444 was sighted on Sunday, meaning the dates of Hajj and Eid al-Adha 2023 are now confirmed.

The 1st day of Dhul Hijjah 1444 is 19 June 2023. It means:

  • The day of Arafah is Tuesday 27 June.
  • Eid al-Adha is Wednesday 28 June
  • Three days of Tashreeq are 29 June, 30 June, and 1st July

Dhul Hijjah is the final month in the Islamic calendar and several Hadiths detail the importance of the first ten days of the month. The Prophet (PBUH) said: " There are no days on which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days" (Bukhari)
