In Islam, the concept of "haya" holds far greater significance than the word modesty.
Rania Lawendy underscores the importance of Muslims nurturing haya and how that relates to a pure heart.
"The word many people use for haya is modesty, but modesty doesn't really capture what haya is," says Rania. "Haya is when your whole self recoils against doing something against Allah (SWT)."
